GlobWorld.com is a fully moderated, interactive, edutainment-driven online community for kids. Through a glob persona, child members are free to interact with content, comment on editorial posts, partake in forum discussions, create an online profile representing their glob (i.e. NOT personal information related to the child), vote in polls, and engage with miscellaneous interactive content in a way that prohibits a child from revealing or sharing any personally identifiable information. In short, GlobWorld.com does not collect, store, or facilitate the public broadcast of personally identifiable information; this means we do not allow children to post their real names, location, email addresses, phone numbers, instant message ID’s, password or account information, name of their school, or other personal identifiers of this nature. Furthermore, GlobWorld.com does not allow the posting of personal pictures.

What information do we collect?
Anyone may create a free GlobWorld.com account. During site registration we only collect a username, password, whether you are under or over 13 (not posted) and e-mail address (for those under age 13, we request a parent’s email address).
Please keep in mind that we NEVER collect personal information on GlobWorld.com unless our visitors voluntarily provide it to us!
Registration
Registration is required to interact in GlobWorld.com. This is part of our safety procedure to ensure that all user generated content — such as story and forum comments, and profile information — must first pass through our human moderators and adhere to our strict Terms and Conditions before it appears anywhere on the site.
All registering members must agree to adhere to our Terms and Conditions.
For registering children, we use the parent’s email address to notify parents that their child has registered at GlobWorld.com. To activate the account, the parent must “click” the activation link embedded within the body of the email. Also included in this email are:

Non-public Polls and Surveys
We may ask for non-personal information from time to time during user feedback efforts to gauge how our members are using and enjoying GlobWorld.com. Some examples include the user’s age, gender, city, state, and hobbies.
Sweepstakes and Contests
In the event we offer sweepstakes or contests, we may ask for participants to enter a valid email address. All email addresses collected under these terms are used ONLY for the purposes of entry identification and to inform participants of a sweepstake or contest outcome. If a child’s email address will be used more than once, then we will also collect a parent’s email address and obtain permission.
